Rebecca Savoie

With more than a decade of experience leading international development programs across East Africa, Rebecca Savoie is currently pursuing her PhD in Rural Sociology at the University of Missouri. Working on numerous projects for organizations including ACDI/VOCA, Land O’Lakes and TechnoServe, Rebecca has extensive experience building community capacity in developing economies to maximize agricultural production and market linkages, strengthen agribusinesses and other economic infrastructure, and to harness the power of cooperative and producer group structures.  A lifelong learner, Rebecca recently completed her MBA at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. She also earned an MA in International Policy at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, and completed her BS in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities campus. Rebecca has lived and worked in Uganda, Egypt and Tanzania and is fluent in Swahili
