Nick Droege
Nick Droege is a social entrepreneur, growth strategist, and corporate innovator that got his start here at the University of Missouri trying to tackle the food insecurity issue for college students and staff. Nick worked closely with university administration and a team of highly motivated students to launch Tiger Pantry. Today, Tiger Pantry has served close to 100,000 lbs of food to the MU community in-need. Tiger Pantry has acted as a proof point that food insecurity is present in college environments and is used as an example for college campuses across the nation to start their own services to fight poverty living among college students and staff. Since Tiger Pantry’s opening, Nick has worked with universities across the US to investigate the need for similar services on their campuses and craft strategies to combat issues stemming from poverty at these institutions.
After graduation from MU, Nick focused on growing his own company, SafeTrek (founded here at the University of Missouri) which is now the #1 personal safety application in the United States. He has served as a management and strategy consultant for CEOs and major corporations across the US working on innovation in the workplace and growth strategy for new products and services. Nick has also served as an executive for United Way in their Los Angeles headquarters focused on campaign strategy.
At the core of it all, Nick is a problem solver and believes that even the most complex of issues have a solution.
