Megan A. Koch, Committee Chair, Addressing Issues of Stigma in Vulnerable Population
is an organizational communication doctoral student at the University of Missouri. Her research interests include food (in)security, social class and identity, voluntourism and non-profit organizing. She is a member of the Interdisciplinary Center for Food Security which helps map hunger and food insecurity in Missouri’s twenty-nine counties. She is currently researching hunger, stigma, and communication within food pantries. Her work on the greenwashing of food was recently published in The Political Language of Food, edited by Samuel Boerboom (2015).
