Eleni Galata

My name is ELENI Galata and I am PhD student in Agricultural & Applied Economics, MU. I was born in Ukraine and raised in Greece and Russia. I call myself a populizer of science and do research on how the language that the mass media use affect the decision making of the individuals with regards to genetically modified foods and crops, and the regulatory outcomes on an international level. Being a grandchild of many generations of farmers, I was always fascinated by the ways in which science could help agricultural services and goods grow. Using agro-biotechnologies, we as a humanity, have an opportunity to make an phenomenal amount of good to an incredible number of people. My goal is to bridge the gap between science and society and help everyone understand how gorgeous innovation in agriculture is.
